2016/17 Kaisercraft Design Team Application

Hello love bugs!

Today, I have a super fun tutorial to share with you all. Using scrapbooking goodies from Kaisercraft, I want to show how versatile these products can be. There aren't many products that are made specifically for planners but you can easily use scrapbooking goodies for your planners! So today we will be creating our own planner dividers!

My Kaisercraft supplies for this project:

And for non-Kaisercraft supplies. I have:

As you can see, you don't need many supplies. If you don't have a planner punch, using a single hand paper punch works too. I find that using old planner dividers as a template is the easiest, but some crafters prefer using a cut file with their cutting machine. Use whatever you have at hand.

The first step is to trace the outline of the divider onto scrapbooking paper:

After cutting out all of your new dividers, you'll need to grab your embellishment goodies to start decorating your new dividers. The great thing about the Kaisercraft Boho Dreams patterned paper pack is that it includes a bonus sticker sheet that is perfect for ebellishing the dividers:

You can see my newly cut dividers and embellishing goodies. I love this bonus sticker sheet and Boho Dreams die cut collectibles! I find that the best way to embellish things is to move things around and to layer, just have fun with it! Even I peeled things off to move them elsewhere, it's a lot of trial and error.

Here are my planner dividers after I've finished decorating them, I'm seriously in love with the outcome:

After that, I punched holes using my Rapesco punch and whipped out my laminator to protect my new dividers. If you don't own a laminator, you can go to your local office store like staples to have them laminate them for you:

Now your last step is to put your beautiful new dividers into your planner! What I love about this patterned paper pack from Kaisercraft is that it's double sided. So they look extra beautiful in your planner. Here are my dividers in their new home:

I hope you'll all enjoy this tutorial today!! I always love finding innovative ways to use scrapbooking goodies and I adore my new dividers. I love the watercolor and floral theme of Kaisercraft's Boho Dreams collection.

Mommy!hey's First Birthday

Hello my love bugs!

I have a really special blog post for you all today. The month of February this year was a really special one to me. There were a lot of important events such as my first day at my first job out of graduation, my five years anniversary with kev, kev landing a job with my company, and of course Mommylhey's first birthday!

The creator and owner, Lhey, is a very special friend of mine. We hit it off a few years ago and became close but I instantly noticed her creative talents. I remember when she was simply brainstorming ideas and I was ecstatic! I knew she'd produce the cutest supplies for our planner community and here I am, still supporting her 100%.

Lhey asked me to be the guest designer of this month's stamp release in honor of their 1 year anniversary and of course I said yes! So without further adieu, let's get to the photos.

Here is a full photo of all of the stamp sets that Lhey released this month:

This is how I used her stamp sets for my February monthly spread in my inkwell press planner:

You all just have to check out Lhey's Instagram and shop if you haven't had the chance to yet. I'll apologize in advance if you end up putting everything into your cart! But trust me on this, you won't regret it.

I hope you all enjoy my monthly spread and I'd like to thank Lhey for being such an amazing soul and friend. Thank you for all that you are! <3

August Planner Set Up

Hello loves!

I wanted to share how I set up my planner for the month of August, hopefully it'll inspire some of you on how to set up your own planners!

I chose the Pink Patent Domino Filofax to use for this month because the vibrant color matches my Cocoa Daisy August Planner Kit perfectly. The kit is sold out but you can still purchase the A5 and Personal inserts. For the girls who don't use a ringed planner, Cocoa Daisy has come out with the Daisy Dori which is similar to a Midori insert. These are so fab!

So let's go on to my planner set up, shall we?

Here is the gorgeous Pink Patent Domino,
doesn't the color work so well with the kit?

The great thing about the domino Filofax is this large
pocket in the front. I stored a sticker sheet,
journaling cards, and a stamp set in mine!

I added the cute mint and pink tassel charm to one
of the rings in front of the beautiful monthly divider.

Here is a quick snapshot of the gorgeeeeouusss inserts
from this month's kit. I used the macaron clips
to mark each week of the inserts.

Then I created a cute little dashboard to house my many sticky flags.
The Dear Lizzy notepad was included in the kit and I used a tape
runner to adhere them to the dashboard. I like them all in one
place for convenience.

In the back of the domino is this slit, I put my macaron notepad and
super adorable bow clip here. And how cute does my mint crown
pen look in the pen loop?

And that's everything! I hope you enjoyed taking a peek into how I've set up my planner for the month of August. Have a wonderful week everyone!
